DON’T BELIEVE IN THE LIE, YOU CAN BELIEVE IN JESUS

LIE: Evolution is true, especially Atheistic Evolution, which is a fact and disproves the Bible.
TRUTH: Parts of the theory of evolution may be somewhat
factual; even though there are missing links & species magically transforming into another, which has never been witnessed by man nor beast.
LIE: Atheists are realists that only believe what they can prove.
TRUTH: Atheists are imagining that they are realists, but are believing in their own intelligence by faith. It is an unwarranted trust that 90% of the people in the world would call conceited, arrogant & delusional.
LIE: Atheists believe in science & other things they can see or study that are physical & not spiritual.
TRUTH: Atheists believe in science as
factual even though they’ve never researched or seen all of the laws of reality or science.
LIE: Atheists say the Bible is only the words of man & not written or influenced by God's thoughts inside of men or women.
TRUTH: If people's words have so much value to the Atheist then, why don't they believe the words in the Bible as much as they believe in: Charles Darwin, Karl Marx or Bertrand Russell? They believe, by faith, in man's wisdom, but only the words of some people who were drunken, meg-lo-maniacal, distorters of the words & concepts of Eastern & nature religions, who also twisted the words & actions of Jesus.
LIE: Sex is healthy and is necessary for the mature & beneficial for well-rounded mental & physical health.
TRUTH: Sex is the
cause of so many mental & physical diseases, divorce and abortion deaths.
Sex finds its greatest benefit in the covenant of marriage and in the bearing of
godly children. How many celibate boys, girls, men, women, nuns and priests are dying because of neurosis, syphilis, cervical cancer
and AIDS because of their holy life styles? Answer: Very few.
LIE: Religion is a drug and a crutch for weak-minded people that refuse to believe that life is meaningless, savage and boring.
TRUTH: Jesus gives us life, health and joy. He gives strength, excitement & purpose for life. If a person can improve his attitude in life, it would seem that everyone should become a Christian. Is improving your life a crutch or an addiction?
LIE: Religion is better for married people, but young people must have sex, abortions and use contraception. After marriage they can stay with one sexual partner.
TRUTH: Young people fold easily to peer pressure, but if the expectation in the family & church is for celibacy until marriage, then many can meet that goal. When we set the bar of morality higher more people will achieve a life free from unwanted pregnancies & abortions.
LIE: Religion is too confusing & full of contradictions to follow.
TRUTH: God is more complicated than us and His religion is also incomprehensible and that inspires belief. Life itself is full of contradictions. In science and politics the experts always disagree. Even philosophers and atheists contradict themselves. They say, “There is no God & meaning in life”, but then they spend their lives trying to prove that the non atheists, spiritual & religious are: foolish, dangerous & unhappy. Their zeal & their selfish life purpose reveals their own hypocrisy and self-hatred. Destroy, destroy, destroy, misery loves company.
LIE: Science is incompatible with religion.
TRUTH: The greatest modern scientists were & are Christians. Science is not equipped to study religion, so they should remain silent about that subject.
LIE: If God exists then God is an impersonal force. That would be a more scientific view of It. Hinduism and Buddhism are more realistic & mature than Judaism and Christianity.
TRUTH: God has an ego
and we have an ego. Ego means a name, an “I”, I am John. I AM That I AM, says
God. An impersonal life force wouldn’t reveal Itself or want worship from us.
Jehovah is a personal God and wants to be worshipped. He knows everyone by name
and keeps them alive and functioning. He has told us His plans and prophesies
in the Bible. He wants to restore with mankind a relationship he once had with Adam &
Eve through the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus.
LIE: Modern people have tried Jesus & Christianity in the Court of Reality & they are both guilty of mythology & deception.
TRUTH: Science, courtrooms or common sense can’t prove the guilt or innocence of anyone, with 100% accuracy. The claims of Jesus can be contradicted or have doubt cast upon them, whether they are true or false. If Jesus is who he says he is, you don't want to be the prosecutor, but his defender. Doubt, logic, or mockery doesn’t disprove anything, so let's have faith in Him.
LIE: Aliens, from other planets or dimensions, started life on this earth by altering the DNA of cavemen so that they became intelligent (panspermia). Because the evolutionary theory is so flawed and there are so many missing links this is the only rational way that humans could have evolved in the short time frame that they were on earth as cave people.
TRUTH: It’s true that
evolution is full of missing pieces but, why believe in alien geneticists from
other planets/dimensions interfering with our planet? That takes as much faith to believe in as belief in God does & there
is no proof of aliens yet. Believers are accused of saying, “It’s a mystery so God
must have done it miraculously”. But atheists are doing the same thing, “The
origins of life are a mystery and science hasn’t fully discovered a realistic
answer so, the little green men did it through science”. "Science or Nature did it" is the fall back position, when atheists have no evidence.
CONCLUSION: Faith by any other name is still faith. If faith or blind belief is a weakness or a crutch then Atheists are also guilty of it.

SIMPLY CHRISTIAN, WHY CHRISTIANITY MAKES SENSE

No matter how much I study Christianity, practice & live it I’m still waiting for the one book, preacher, theologian, prophet or movie that will finally makes sense out of Christianity. This author is a Bishop in the Anglican Church, but I’m not sure if he has the answers either. I’ve studied the religions of the world & I know that Christianity is the right one, but within it what is the correct denomination? There are many to choose from: Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Episcopalian, Seventh Day Adventist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Pentecostal, Lutheran & many more? What is the correct view of prophesy: dispensationalism or replacement theology; amillenialism, midtribulation, posttribulation; secret rapture or a visible rapture? How should we see the literature, wisdom and prophesies of the Bible-as literal, historical, mythological or metaphorical?
Even if we knew what the true teachings of Jesus’ original followers were, the times have changed so drastically we still wouldn’t know what was true anymore. They didn’t have the birth control pill, so can we now have sex as Christians? They didn’t have giant medical centers, the National Institutes of Health, medical insurance & sophisticated medical testing, record keeping & statistics. Should we go to a Benny Hinn healing service for a miracle or just go to our doctor or local hospital? The Twelve Apostles didn’t have the New Testament, but they lived with Jesus the Lord of all. We have the New Testament, but do we really walk with the Lord or are we self deluding or faking it?
Bishop N. T. Wright will attempt to guide us through the confusion, but in the end he recommends further readings for us. You see this book is too brief. I have heard a tape or two of his & I feel he is worth further investigation. He is trying to bring illumination to the inspired book we call the Bible. There is a lot of confusion out there. The Bishop Wright is no flaky liberal anti Christian wolf, like so many so called scholars. He’s on the true path & helping thinking Christians to navigate shark infested waters of philosophies we didn’t even know we were following. There is pantheism, panentheism, Diesm, Gnosticism & the classic Jewish & early Christian worldview. This is a good start for a deeper study, but also a good defense of Christianity.

I borrowed this book from the library, but I need to study it a lot more & the other books he recommends.
